At Acima Leasing, we understand the importance of flexibility when it comes to your lease agreements. That's why we offer a range of options tailored to fit your needs and preferences. The period to ownership varies depending on the items you select and the lease agreement offered to you. Typically, you'll have the opportunity to own the merchandise in 12 months if you choose to make all lease renewal payments as outlined in your agreement. You may also see lease periods of 18 to 24 months with select retailer partners.
But here's the best part – you're in control of your journey to ownership. If you're ready to take ownership sooner, we offer optional early purchase options that allow you to end the lease and save significantly compared to the total cost of the lease. The decision to own is entirely up to you, putting the power in your hands to make the choice that's right for you.
4. What are my lease renewal payment options with Acima Leasing?
The due dates of your lease renewal payments are based on your payday as provided in your lease application. After you make your first lease renewal payment, you’re able to change your lease renewal payment frequency if needed. If you think you are going to miss a lease renewal payment, you will need to let the customer service team know 3 days in advance of your lease renewal payment’s processing date. Most lease renewal payments are made automatically by ACH, which automatically processes from your bank account. You can also use a credit, debit card, or most prepaid cards to make lease renewal payments and have those lease renewal payments set up to process automatically as well.
5. Is there an early purchase option?
Yes, during your lease agreement, you’ll have access to two optional early purchase options. The first option, typically available within the initial 90 days of the lease agreement (3 months in California), allows you to take ownership of the merchandise sooner than you would otherwise if you made all scheduled lease renewal payments as outlined in your lease. Once this window passes, don't worry! You still have another opportunity through our second option, which offers an early purchase discount based on your remaining lease renewal payments.
Pro tip: You are not automatically enrolled in an early purchase option at the start of the lease process. To take advantage of either option, call or chat with our customer service team.
